Student Activities
A project and paper presentation competition “TECHTATVA 2023” was organized under MESA on 18th and 19th April 2023. The event was well synchronized under the leadership of MESA team members headed by Mechanical Faculties Dr. L. K. Pandey , Prof. Ruchita Shrimali and Prof. A. A. Mate.. Participation certificates were given to each participants and prize money was given to the winners.
The department of Mechanical Engineering had organized a career counseling seminar on 18.01.2023. The seminar helped students in gaining clarity on career goals, identifying job market trends, evaluating one’s skills and competencies, gaining knowledge about various industries, and exploring different career paths.
EVENT INSIGHTS Campus calling was the mega event hosted by MESA during the Vector technical event of the academic year 2020-21. Despite all the hurdles which arose due to the pandemic, MESA overcame them and it was successfully executed online with over 35 participants.
The first prize of Rs.3000 was achieved by Shubham Pandya and the second position worth Rs.2000 was secured by Shreya More.

Shivaji Jayanti is celebrated every year in February to honor the great Maratha emperor. Shivaji Jayanti is celebrated on February 19 every year in honor of the founder of the Maratha Kingdom.
Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday (Gandhi Jayanti or Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti) . It marks the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth on October 2, 1869. Gandhi is remembered for his contributions towards the Indian freedom struggle.
On account of the Daughter’s day which is celebrated on 22nd September every year MECHANICAL ENGNEERING STUDENT’S ASSOCIATION (M.E.S.A) organized an event on 1st October 2019. The main part of the event was street play.
MESA under itself conducts a departmental festival called “AAROHA” every year. It consists of a technical event, a non-technical event and a social event. This year we hosted an event called “RC racing” which was held for the Second time in Navi Mumbai last year. The event was held in the month of Feb 2018.
Value added course on Piping Engineering was coordinated by Dr. S. S. Pawar. Course was held for six hours on each Saturday, from 19th Aug 2017 to 30th Dec 2017. Dr. B. A. Mujawar (Director of Zero liquid Discharge- ZLD Solution Panel) conducted the course for 18 mechanical students of third year and final year on nine Saturdays. The industrial visit was also organised at Panvel MIDC on 30.12.2017 by Dr. B. A. Mujawar.
Institute level Avishkar research convection 2017-2018 was organised on 22-12-2017 by Dr. S. S. Pawar (HOD of Mechanical Department). Dr. V. N. Pawar (HOD of Extc department), Dr. M. N. Deshpande (HOD of Comp department) and Dr. Sachin Kamble did the judging of the event. This activity was coordinated by Prof. (Mrs.) Sonal Patil from Electronics. Total six best groups from UG level were selected for district round. Two groups were selected for University round from Mechanical and Computer Department.
On 15th September 2017 we had invited 2 guest lecturers who provided us with valuable information. Prof N. Mahesh enlightened us about the ‘Role of an engineer as a manager’. Prof. V. S . Patil gave talk on ‘Power scenario in India’.
MESH RUNNER was organised by Mechanical department students in 2017. It was the competition which included manufacturing of bots and designing mesh. Two teams were opposing each other in this contest.
